Diva Challenge #229: +/- AND Tangleation Vocation #17: Printemps by Zentangle
Fun! ^_^ I tend to constantly drift between packed-in detail and airy minimalism (more so on the detail side, of course ^_^), but still rarely focus on negative space. So, this was fun and unique.
Tangles used: Gra-vee, Xav, Emingle, weird ribbon-y thing that I probably will never post stepouts for
And, here's my little set of Verdigogh tangleations (AKA "Mooka on a stick" and "I'm too lazy to do anything more") ^_^
Tangles used: Verdigogh, Black Pearlz, elements of Chemystery and Mooka
Your Vocation this week is the official tangle Printemps! Enjoy and be inspired! ^_^
Your "I'm too lazy to do anything else" comment made me laugh, but I don't call all that detail being lazy. You have even managed to put shadows in. Great tiles.
Daniel, these are inspired, especially Mooka on a stick. But, please explain the mystery writing at the top of your first tile: Hebrew? mirror writing? a new language?
Thanks! ^_^ Hm...Hebrew sounds interesting. Maybe I'll try that next ^_^ That's a fairly basic form of a type of writing called "Elian." There's a great, simple tutorial on how to do it here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0omzbbX_u_E I guess it just looks more artistic than plain old writing. And it's more fun ^_^
Daniel, these are beautiful. I love how the shading around the white space makes it lift off the page! And your Mooka on a stick is classic! It sounds like some crazy carnival food!
These are all very nice. I like the way you indicated negative/white space. Dear Danial, your Tangle Drawings are so fun and unique. To my hearts regret, I must unsubscribe from all my newsletters/blog posts. Business reasons require my undivided attention for some time. With heartfelt blessings to you and yours, Tracy McDonald
Love your minimalist end of the spectrum. Really effective and creative. I've just started following your blog (thanks to tanglepatterns.com and Undu) so haven't had time to read previous entries and view the other end of the spectrum!
Creative tiles. Did chuckle at your Mooka on a stick comment. State fair is going on here and made me think of all the weird/unusual food items that they come up with.
Nice! I LOVE your Mooka on a stick LOL! That's genius!
